Mathematical Literacy (Grades 10–12)

Full time position

Bryanston High School invites suitably qualified, passionate, and dedicated candidates to apply for a full-time Mathematical Literacy teaching position in the Further Education and Training (FET) Phase.

We are seeking an innovative educator who is committed to academic excellence, learner development, and active participation in the broader life of the school.

  • Requirements :
  • Hold an appropriate recognised teaching qualification (minimum of a Bachelor of Education degree or an applicable Bachelor's degree with a PGCE).
  • Be suitably qualified to teach Mathematical Literacy to Grades 10, 11, and 12.
  • Be registered with the South African Council for Educators (SACE) and provide a valid SACE registration number.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the CAPS curriculum and NSC examination requirements.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of effective teaching and assessment practices in Mathematical Literacy.
  • Be willing to participate in the broader life of the school, including co-curricular and extra-mural activities.
  • Preference may be given to candidates who :
  • Have experience teaching Mathematical Literacy at Grades 10–12 level
  • Have a proven track record of academic excellence and learner support.
  • Are able to contribute to the school's sport, cultural, service, or leadership programmes.
