Dear Parents and Guardians,
We want to share a few important reminders and procedures to ensure the smooth running of our
school day and to support the academic progress and well-being of all learners.
Appointments With Educators and Grade Controllers
Please be reminded that should you wish to meet with a subject educator or a Grade Controller,
an appointment must be made in advance by emailing the relevant staff member. Email
addresses are available on the Parent Portal.
Walk-in visits cannot be accommodated. Educators will respond to emails within 24 hours during
the school week.
Procedure for Missed Assessments
If a learner misses an assessment due to being absent, the procedure is as follows:
- The learner will write the missed assessment on the day they return to school.
- A doctor’s note is required for any missed cycle test.
Signing Out Learners During the School Day
If you need to collect your child during the school day, please follow the steps below:
- Inform the Grade Controllers via email in advance, unless it is an emergency.
- Learners must see all their educators for the lessons they will miss and obtain signatures.
- Parents must collect learners at the reception area.
- The slip provided by reception must be given to the security guard at the gate for exit.
Late Collection of Learners
We have noted with concern that some learners remain at school very late, sometimes until the
evening. We urge parents to make appropriate arrangements to collect learners on time.
Remaining unattended at the school gate for extended periods is not productive.
Traffic Guidelines
We remind all parents to follow the previously communicated traffic guidelines during morning
drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Your cooperation helps maintain safety and efficiency for
everyone.
Academic Support Programme
The updated Academic Support Programme for the year is attached (and published on our
website).
Extra lessons are available across all subjects for learners who require additional support. We
encourage learners to make use of these opportunities.
SGB By-Election
We want to extend our sincere thanks to all parents who attended last week’s SGB by-elections.
We are pleased to announce that the three vacant positions have now been filled.
